Volunteer
As an all-volunteer, charity organization, The Dog Squad Rescue has no paid staff, consultants or office space. We depend solely on caring members of the community to help us achieve our goals.
YOUR involvement is the key to our ongoing success. You can help fulfill our mission of finding a loving, permanent home for every homeless dog in our community.
Opportunities
You can help us in many different ways:
- Providing a foster home for a dog
- Dog training
- Assisting with adoption applications (phone interviews, home checks, etc.)
- Assisting with volunteer screening and coordinating
- Evaluating dogs in shelters and owner relinquishments
- Transporting pets to and from events, vet appointments, foster homes, TV spots, etc.
- Doing mailings and general office help
- Assisting with adoption events (dog handling, soliciting donations, etc.)
- Assisting with special events, fundraising and public relations
- Picking up donated items and delivering to foster homes (food, supplies, etc.)
- Laundering blankets, bedding, towels, etc. in your home
- Keeping adoption web sites updated
- Taking photographs
- Creating flyers, posters and other informational items
- Grooming
- Dog wallking
- Helping with the newsletter
