The Dog Squad is a San Diego based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run by a group of dedicated volunteers. We take dogs from overcrowded, local shelters and find them loving, permanent homes. We are one of the few local rescues that take all breeds, sizes and ages.

Rocco Adopted!

After extensive networking, Rocco got adopted on Nov. 6th after being in our program for over 1 1/2 years. Rocco lost his foster home this week after a fight with one of the other dogs. With the help of many people who got the word out, we found him a home. He is doing well -- cuddling the night away with his new "dad". If you know Rocco, you'll know how happy that makes him. At the homecheck, he was excited just to be inside a home. We'll post photos and updates soon. Thanks to everyone who helped.

FOCAS is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization formed to help the lost and abandoned dogs and cats in the three San Diego Department of Animals Services' shelters.

FOCAS has helped us by paying the medical expenses for several of the dogs we've rescued including Bellah, a young hound mix with mange, Hogan, who had a growth on his tongue, and Hennah, a blind, 10 year old poodle.
